While working at 360Live, one of our clients came up the brand Sabir, an on-line tool system for academic betterment through individualization rescues. My task was to bring this brand to life by creating a logo and overall look & feel to it. To start, I had to understand what Sabir is and what its main characteristic. The meaning behind the name is to go deep into a subject to explore it and closely knowing its details, thus leading to its use; a platform which provides students with the right tools to satisfy their curiosity and their desire for exploring the world around them through every detail.
INSPIRATION BEHIND THE LOGO
The concept of ‘sabir' is to nourish the mindset of the younger generations, thus the platform aims to explore the mental outlook. Having said that, the brain is intimately intertwined with behavior and mental processes where the mind manifests a persons thought, perception, emotion, determination, memory and imagination; making up the consciousness mind that controls characteristic patterns that make a person unique. This individual personality arises and remains fairly consistent throughout their life.
After creating a moodboard based on the clients needs, I made a quick visual of how the logo could be. The way the logo was created was based on the colourful parts of the brain with a speech bubble below it. However, when looking at it, I noted a couple issues.
It looked like a cotton candy rather than a colorful brain.
It felt very harsh rather than this endless knowledge found in the brain.
It didn’t represent the younger youth and wouldn’t attract children attention.
With all that being said, I decided to further develop the logo.
